Large wrapping of red around the abdomen, formerly disliked, but NOW popular.

Wrap up. The term used TO DESCRIBE sumi that wraps up ON utsuri, showa, IN which the sumi rises FROM belly TO shoulder.
Makibara
A desirable hi patterns extend down over the lateral LINES ON the belly, especially ON kohaku AND sanke.
Makikomi
Pattern extending FROM the UPPER AREA TO the abdomen.
Makisagari
Wrap down. Refers TO hi plate wrapping down FROM back TO belly.

Lighter ground color IN goshiki.
